About EDI
Easy Does It Mission Statement
Easy Does It Emergency Services provides assistance to the elderly and individuals with disabilities living independently in the City of Berkeley and in Marin County. Should a disabled person experience an unforeseen crisis or a temporary lapse in his or her own regular attendant care, that person can call upon Easy Does It for assistance at the time of need.

Easy Does It Emergency Services does not provide medical care, and if it is aware of a medical emergency promptly contacts appropriate medical personnel. Over the past ten years, Easy Does It Emergency Services has answered more than 30,000 service calls.

Gina started working for EDI in January of 2001 as a Services Coordinator. As soon as she started working, it was evident that Gina had a strong passion for the mission of EDI and a natural ability to perform well at administrative tasks. She quickly moved on to become Co-Executive Director.

Leslie has lived in Berkeley for over 20 years. She has a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Francisco State University, and served on the EDI Board from 1998 to 2007.

There are eleven seats on the EDI Board of Directors, of which currently 9 seats are filled. The majority of the Board needs to be filled by people who live in Berkeley and have disabilities. Board meetings are usually the fourth Thursday evening of the month, and committee meetings are required on occasion. Board meetings' agendas and minutes can be found on our website. There are elections each Fall, but applications are accepted any time. If there are openings on the Board, qualified individuals are appointed throughout the year.
