Dear EDI Friends and Colleagues:
I want to let you know about EDI’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Program. We have been collaborating with the Berkeley Office of Emergency Services (OES) with the goal of empowering the disability community to thrive in the beautiful Bay Area through area-wide emergencies such as earthquakes, fires, and power outages.
With input from the City of Berkeley, we have developed a survey to collect information to evaluate how prepared members of the disability community are for area-wide emergencies. We want and need your input – tell us how we can collaborate effectively with you.
PLEASE START BY TAKING THE EDI EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS SURVEY NOW.
CLICK ON “TAKE SURVEY” BELOW TO TAKE THE SURVEY. THANK YOU
Please call or email us if you need any assistance to complete this survey, or if you require an alternative format such as Braille or audio CD. Our online version is screen-reader friendly. Survey results will be used to design workshops and emergency services that address community-identified priorities. Our goal is to build a Community of Preparedness with you as the experts in what individuals with disabilities need to know and do to be prepared for area-wide emergences. The survey takes ten to thirty minutes to complete. Your participation in the survey and in each question is totally voluntary. We value your time – each participant that completes the survey and provides contact information will receive a $10 thank you gift. We appreciate your contribution to this important work.
