Our Repair Team strives to ensure our clients Medical Equipment remains in working order through regular maintenance and scheduled repair services. Whether it's a Manual or Power Chair, Walker, Rollator, Hoyer Lift, etc. We're able to provide free parts and incredibly affordable labor rates to keep you mobility equipment functioning properly.
We come to you
It's a little difficult to make it to our shop with broken or failing equipment. So all repair calls are start with us picking up your device.
Donated Parts
To offset the cost of repairs we use donated parts whenever possible. They're also oftentimes parts that have been discontinued.
Free Loaner Chair
We'll set you up with a free loaner chair for the iterim. Clients also have the option to request their own free backup power chair, some parts may be required.
Remain mobile with affordable Repairs

These are some of the most common issues our Repair Team encounters when we work on our Client's Mobility Equipment. Whether it's a minor adjustment on fixing a faulty electrical controller, we're here to help.
Chair Adjustments
A Chair that isn't correctly configured for it's user can cause serious bodily harm if not promptly resolved. We can ensure your mobility equipment is properly adjusted to meet your needs.
Battery Replacement
Power Chairs often rely on Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Batteries to run. After 1-3 years of use they typically need to be replaced. Our team will identify the replacement battery and do to the work, you just need to purchase the battery.
Joystick Replacement
Even if the rest of your Power Chair is working, you can't control it if your joystick is damaged. We have plenty of donated Joysticks available, all you should have to do is pay for labor.
Keeping your Joystick DryController Troubleshooting
A Power Chairs Electrical Controller is essentially the brains of your equipment. It relays instructions from the controller to the relevant part. We can diagnose and resolve many controller related issues.
Controller Replacement
If your existing Controller cannot be fixed, we also have plenty of donated ones available for our clients. Once again, all you should have to pay for is labor.
Bald Tires
We have an extensive collection of replacement tires for when the ones on your power chair burn through all their tread or get damaged.
Start Living as You Choose
If you'd like to start using our Affordable Wheelchair Repair Service to ensure your mobility equipment remains in peak working order as often as possible. You can apply for both repairs and reduced copayments online.
Regular Co-Payment
$15/hour
Berkeley Clients are expected to cover a portion of the cost of the labor associated with Wheelchair Repair.
- Covers any and all labor for the repair of your wheelchair.
- If we have Donated Parts for your device, they're provided for free.
- If Dead Batteries need to be replaced, the client is expected to pay for them.
Reduced Co-Payments
$7.50/hour
Berkeley Clients are expected to cover a portion of the cost of the labor associated with Wheelchair Repair.
- Pay half what we usually charge for labor.

Empowering us to repair more than ever before
- The City of Berkeley's Measure E is our main source of funding and allows to provide ongoing services to their residents.
- Funds from a Grant provided by the City of Emeryville are still available to assist their residents
- Funds donated by members of the Community and Share the Spirit are still available for Albany and El Cerrito.
